Privacy notice

This explains what we do with the information you give us through this website. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
Who we are
Cozy Home (Yorkshire) Ltd, trading as Cozy Home, of Unit D1b, Bryans Close, Harworth, Doncaster DN11 8RY. Registered in England and Wales, company number 17386226. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at info@cozy-home.co.uk or 01302 203550.
What we collect
When you use the quote form we collect:
- Your name, mobile number and email address
- Your postcode, if you give it
- Which service you are asking about
- Your consent to us contacting you about it
- Technical detail sent by your browser, and where you came from if you arrived from an advert or another site
The postcode checker on this site runs entirely in your browser. Typing a postcode into it sends nothing to us and stores nothing anywhere.
If you call or email us instead, we hold whatever you tell us in that conversation.
If you fill in a form on Facebook or Instagram
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, and some of those adverts let you ask for a quote without leaving the app. If you use one of those forms, Meta shows you details it already holds for you — usually your name, phone number and email — and passes them to us only once you tap submit. We also receive your answers to the questions in the form, such as the boiler you have now and when you are looking to have the work done.
We use that exactly as we use an enquiry through this website: to call you back and quote for the work. Meta holds its own copy under its own privacy policy, and you can review or change what it shares with advertisers in your Facebook or Instagram settings.
We will ring or email you about the enquiry you made. We do not add you to a marketing list on the strength of it, and if you would rather we did not contact you at all, say so and we will delete the enquiry.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
- To answer your enquiry and quote for the work. Necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and you have given consent by ticking the box.
- To carry out and support the work if you go ahead, including warranty registration and any legally required notification.
- To keep proper business records where the law requires it.
- To understand which adverts and pages actually work. Our legitimate interest in running the business sensibly.
We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to anyone for their own marketing.
Who else touches it
We use a small number of suppliers to run the site and our systems. They process your information on our instructions only:
- Our website host, for serving the site
- Our database provider, for storing enquiries
- Our automation and email providers, for alerting us to a new enquiry
- Our business system, for managing the job if you go ahead
- A subcontractor, where one is carrying out your installation, and then only what they need in order to do the job
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become jobs: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Customer and job records: as long as the law and your warranty require, and no longer.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to us using it, or withdraw consent at any time. Email info@cozy-home.co.uk and we will deal with it within a month.
If you are not happy with how we have handled it you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Nothing here follows you around the internet.
If we ever add advertising or analytics cookies to this website, we will ask you before they load and update this page to say what they do.
Advertising on Facebook and Instagram works differently: Meta knows an advert was shown to you and whether you tapped it, because it happened inside their app. That is Meta measuring its own platform, and it is covered by their privacy policy rather than this one.
