About us
New name. Thirty years on the tools.
Cozy Home is new. The people are not.
Why we started it
Between us there is more than 30 years of combined plumbing and heating experience behind this company. Long enough to have seen every version of the same problem: a headline price that grows, a quote that arrives a week late, a company that stops answering the phone the day after the invoice clears.
Heating and cooling are also treated as two separate trades, which makes no sense in a house. The same building that is freezing in January is unbearable in July, and the same person should be able to sort both.
How we work
You get a written price with the inclusions and the exclusions spelled out. We do not offer finance, so nothing is engineered backwards from a monthly figure. We keep the patch small enough that if something needs revisiting, we can revisit it. That is the one real advantage of being local, and it is why we have kept the patch small.
If a job is not right for us, or a product isn't right for your house, we'll say so. That costs us the occasional sale and saves everybody a great deal of grief.
What we will not do
We are a new company, so there are no review counts, installation totals or testimonials on this site yet. When we have earned them they will be here with names on. Until then the honest position is the one at the top of this page: the company is new, the people are not.
Qualified for the work
Gas Safe registered engineers for gas work, F-Gas qualified for refrigerant work. Registration details go on your paperwork and you can check them independently.
A tight regional patch
Yorkshire, Humberside and north Nottinghamshire. We would rather cover a small area properly than a large one badly.
Prices in writing
Before you commit, with the exclusions listed. No number that changes on the day.
Straight answers
If a heat pump is wrong for your house, we'll tell you it is wrong for your house, even though it is the bigger job.
